UAB New Music Recital featuring Craig Hultgren, cellist "Louisiana Connections" University of Alabama at Birmingham Wednesday, March 25, 2009 7:30pm UAB Hulsey Recital Hall 950 13th Street South

Craig Hultgren will play a solo program of recent compositions for the cello at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This concert, featuring living composers with connections to the state of Louisiana, includes works with amplification, audio soundfile playback, and a computer score-reading tablet.

The program includes Dinos Constantinides’ Four Interludes, Snap by Aaron Johnson, Into My Own by Carlo Vincetti Frizzo, The Cellar by the Brazilian Liduino Pitombeira, Sans Titre V by William Price, Wooloowin Blues by Todd Gabriel, Oespedaletto by Charles Norman Mason and imaginActions by Gianluca Verlingieri.
