I have been spending some time reading Dufrenne and redesigning the website. I am not entirely happy with the aesthetics of the site, but I am going to leave it for now (if you have some suggestions leave a comment - keep in mind that I am not an artist, nor a graphic designer of any sort).

Anyway, I plan to attend the show at Lyda Rose this Friday, I might even play a few tunes after (or before) Diane McNaron’s show.  I am going to treat it as a sort of field trip for the Aesthetics series.  If you are in the Birmingham (Alabama) area and are reading this, please come too.  If you are not, find an opening or a show in your own neighborhood and see some art.
